The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of  572 islands,slands located in South-East of the Bay of Bengal, between 6˚ and 14˚ North latitudes and 92˚ & 94˚ East longitudes. Of the total, only 36 are permanently inhabitated and these are separated from each other by vast sea. They form an archipelago  of which only a few are inhabited.
